We Are Wisdom: The Five Buddhas

An Eight Week Online Course:

Live on Zoom and Recorded in HD to Watch Anytime

Tuesday Evenings August 4th - September 22nd, 6pm - 8pm Mountain

We are always part of a sacred mandala. Every aspect of our being, our experience, and the natural world express and embody self-existing wisdom, calling us home in every moment.

We can be confident in who we truly are: spacious, clear, discerning, accomplishing, and equanimous. These wisdom qualities are known as the five buddhas.

They are embodied in the natural world by our mother buddhas of the elements: earth, water, fire, wind, space, who give us life, support, and embrace us.

Our emotions are also made of wisdom, even if they’ve become temporarily frozen and distorted into habitual patterns which cause suffering—we can allow them to unfold, expressing what is truly needed.

The more intimately we know these ingredients of life, the more compassionate understanding we have for others in their own journey, and can navigate relationships skillfully.

The teachings that describe all this in depth are called the Five Buddha Families. In this eight week course we will:

  • Learn about “mandala”, a sacred worldview of wholeness, interconnection, and relationship

  • Gain confidence in our innate space, clarity, discernment, accomplishment, and equanimity

  • Understand our emotions and personal style more deeply according to Buddhist psychology

  • Allow the “Five Mother Buddhas” of the elemental world to be a teacher and support

  • Practice mantra and visualization to confidently embody each wisdom quality

  • Learn exactly how our wisdom becomes entangled into habitual pattern and distorted emotions

  • Learn chants and ritual practice embodying, expressing, and celebrating this enlightened world view

Reading List Will Include: The Five Buddha Families and the Eight Consciousnesses by Khenchen Thrangu Rinpoche, Healing with Form, Wisdom, and Light by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, The Five Wisdom Energies by Irini Rockwell, and more

“Solid Online Buddhist Study Experience

I recently completed one of Loden's eight-week online courses and wanted to share my experience for anyone considering his teachings.

**What I appreciated:**

**Experienced Teacher**: Loden brings over 15 years of monastic experience and formal Buddhist training. His time at Gampo Abbey and Drala Mountain Center really shows in the depth and authenticity of his instruction.

**Practical Format**: The Zoom classes work well - recorded in HD so you can revisit content or catch up if you miss a session. The recordings are helpful for reviewing meditation instructions and key concepts.

**Accessible Approach**: Complex Buddhist teachings are presented in a way that's understandable for modern practitioners. Loden has a gift for making ancient wisdom relevant to contemporary challenges.

**Reasonable Pricing**: The sliding scale tuition makes quality dharma instruction accessible. This isn't about profit - it's about sharing the teachings.

**Supportive Community**: The private discussion forum creates connection with fellow students, which adds value to the solo online learning experience.

**Areas that worked for me:**

- Clear meditation instruction with guided practices

- Practical tools for working with difficult emotions

- Integration of study with contemplative practice

- Emphasis on daily practice that fits real life

The courses provide a good foundation in Buddhist meditation and philosophy. Loden creates a welcoming environment for both beginners and those with experience. If you're looking for authentic dharma instruction in a convenient online format, these courses deliver solid value.

Worth checking out if you're drawn to serious Buddhist study with a qualified teacher.” - JS
